This is us in 2008 at our old building at 3rd and Ridge.
In 1993 Wayne and Sandy DeYoung took a break from planting churches in Latin America to join with a couple of familes to plant Faith in Christ Fellowship (now Crossroads) at Ridge and 3rd Street. The church started Bible studies at Pine Ridge, Janzen House and anywhere else connections were made. Wayne was helpful in initiating community among evangelical pastors in Marquette. In 2002 Wayne and Sandy returned to missions work and church planting in Mexico.
Next, Chris and Doris Kostelansky served our small church in amazing ways. Pastor Chris stepped in as a bi-vocational pastor, completed his theological education, and alongside Doris served us well. As a jack-of-all-trades he held us together as well as serving residents of Sawyer with his business partner, or connecting with university students as an adjunct professor. Chris and Doris were instrumental in the beginnings of Room at the Inn and helped us transition to a larger building at the crossroads. The Kostelansky's now live in Pennsylvania where Chris ministers in New Stanton. http://newstantonchurch.com/
